Northamptonshire’s St. Mary the Virgin Church in Titchmarsh

St Mary the Virgin, Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire

Ian is on a business trip to Warrington for an audit, which he was not excited to be a part of. He wakes up early and while Jools goes swimming, he packs and takes a walk on the promenade before heading to his car rental. He was disappointed that he was given a small car instead of an automatic, which he usually selects to get a bigger car. Using his phone’s GPS, he drives to a former colleague’s house in Warrington before visiting the village of Fotheringhay Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned and executed. The parish church of the House of York, St Mary and All Saints, is located there, which has a tower that appears larger than the nave and chancel. Ian explored the church and took pictures of the House of York tombs.

He plans to visit other interesting churches but ends up driving without making any stops. He receives a call from a friend, Teresa, who he arranged to meet up with later. However, the weather is worsening, and Ian is advised to get to his hotel sooner rather than later due to the heavy snowfall. He heads to the resort, which is 16 miles from Teresa’s house and experiences driving on a snowy main road, almost running out of petrol in the process.

Overall, Ian’s trip is filled with ups and downs as he balances business and pleasure, exploring historical sites, and dealing with challenging weather conditions.
