Northamptonshire’s St. Mary the Virgin Church in Titchmarsh

St Mary the Virgin, Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire

Ian is embarking on a work trip to the north-west of England, where he will be audited as opposed to auditing others. Despite not being enthusiastic about the journey, he rises early and sets out with his partner, Jools. Before leaving, he takes a walk along the promenade to take some photos and to admire the sunrise in the cold weather. After picking up his rental car, he sets his sights on Fotheringhay Castle, a historical landmark associated with Mary Queen of Scots. He visits St Mary and All Saints, which was the parish church of the House of York, and is the burial place of several kings including Richard III. Afterwards, Ian plans to visit another church on his journey, but after parking in Titchmarsh, he finds it unspectacular and continues his journey to Warrington, where he plans to visit a former colleague.

The weather deteriorates into snow, but Ian carries on regardless, eventually reaching his destination. He meets up with a friend and spends some time with her before receiving a call informing him that he should head to his hotel. His journey ends up being treacherous and Ian fears he might end up crashing. He’s glad to make it to his resort and have dinner before retiring for the night.

Overall, the journey was an eventful one with some interesting discoveries along the way. Ian is glad to finally arrive at his destination and hopes his next trip will be more pleasant.
