Northamptonshire’s St. Mary the Virgin Church in Titchmarsh

St Mary the Virgin, Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire

The author, Ian, is on the road again for work, travelling from his home to Warrington for an audit. Starting his day early, Ian wakes up and packs before taking a walk on the promenade and picking up his rental car. He heads towards a former colleague’s house in St Helens and then visits the 15th-century St Mary and All Saints church in Fotheringhay, which was the parish church of the House of York and is the final resting place of Richard III. Ian stops briefly at the village of Titchmarsh, which is known for its picturesque, thatched houses and historic church, before continuing on towards Warrington. The snowy weather makes for a stressful drive, but Ian arrives safely at his hotel at a golf resort.
