St Andrew’s at Clifton Campville posseses one of the most sophisticated steeples in the Midlands, courting from the 14th century. The church behind it is mainly modern day with it, becoming an enlargement of a 13th century construction.

The soaring spire’s best 3rd was relatively substantially shorn off during a violent storm in the late 1980s, leading to main structural harm, manufactured even worse continue to by scaffolding close to parts of the church which was also torn up by the winds, harming components of the roof. All was restored within just a few of yrs, the pale new stone of the rebuilt suggestion of the spire is now the only reminder of the incident.

The church contains much of curiosity including historical monuments, woodwork and glass, but unfortunately was locked on this occaision. This having said that was no question due to the time (nearly 6pm) as I consider it truly is ordinarily stored open up and I have been inside on other occaisions (for starters as a customer several years before, and a lot more recently working on the glazing for Norgrove Studios).
