Brick by brick and arch by arch, this 32:1 scale wooden-carving of the North Entrance of Westminster Abbey was constructed by architect and woodworker Richard C. Lane just as the unique cathedral masters built the well known church.

Mr. Lane commenced design of the piece in 2005, at the age of 85. The task was begun as a examine in architecture and an try to comprehend the life and religion of those who constructed Westminster Abbey.
He traveled to England to examine the gothic cathedral and right after getting to be mates with the Westminster librarian, was authorized to take a look at, analyze and sketch portions of the construction not open up to the community.
