Granville Island is a peninsula and shopping district in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is situated in Wrong Creek specifically across from Downtown Vancouver’s peninsula, under the south stop of the Granville Avenue Bridge.

A weekly Farmer’s Current market has been ongoing due to the fact the early 1990’s – this was the very first up to date Farmer’s Marketplace in Vancouver.
Granville Island Brewing Co. is also the identify of a beer business which originated on Granville Island in 1984, but whose principal foundation of functions was moved to Kelowna, British Columbia some time later on. In 2009 it was purchased by Molson’s Brewery and continues to brew tiny batches of its versions at the primary site, and features beer-tasting and excursions of their brewing amenities.
In 2004, Challenge for Public Areas named Granville Island “One of the World’s Great Destinations”.
