Maker Art at Tam High

We are producing a general public makerspace in Tam Significant School’s state-of-the-artwork woodshop, to make things collectively and grow a group of makers, learners and academics in South Marin.

This 7 days, I acquired from Geo how to make a ‘mortise and tenon’ joint for the mobile cart I am making in his ‘You Can Construct It’ workshop. We will use this cart to showcase the Metropolis of the Long term that our center school college students are developing alongside one another in our ‘maker art’ courses.

Other workshop participants are earning superior development as well, such as the lovely wooden table shown below. Geo also confirmed off some of the 3D objects his high faculty pupils are making for ‘Maker Field’, their animatronic town driven with Arduino.

These projects are great illustrations of what we could assistance with additional maker programs for older people and teenagers in our new makerspace at Tam Higher. Extra on this later.
