We built great development on all fronts in this week’s ‘You Can Build It’ workshop with my mentor and associate Geo Monley, in his point out-of-the-artwork woodshop at Tam Substantial College in Mill Valley.
Our mate Alice Menge and Phyllis joined us for at the commence of the session, and I laser reduce for them some lovely eagle designs for a new artwork project.
I then concluded the body of the art cart I am making for my individual maker lessons, to showcase our students’ function for the Town of the Foreseeable future course.
Geo’s higher college course done ‘Makers Field’, the animatronic metropolis they created below his assistance. The course has performed a high-quality job with this challenge, which is now completely ready to present off at Marinovators, a nearby maker faire at the Faculty of Marin at the close of the week.
I have joined forces with Geo to produce a new system called Tam Makers, to offer a general public makerspace and maker courses for grown ups and teens at Tam Substantial — and develop a community of makers, students and academics in South Marin.
