We are establishing a general public makerspace in Tam Superior School’s point out-of-the-art woodshop, to make points alongside one another and improve a neighborhood of makers, students and teachers in South Marin.
This 7 days, I learned from Geo how to make a ‘mortise and tenon’ joint for the cellular cart I am constructing in his ‘You Can Establish It’ workshop. We will use this cart to showcase the Town of the Long term that our center university pupils are building together in our ‘maker art’ courses.
Other workshop contributors are earning superior progress as very well, these as the beautiful wooden table revealed right here. Geo also showed off some of the 3D objects his large university learners are making for ‘Maker Field’, their animatronic town powered with Arduino.
These tasks are great illustrations of what we could assistance with extra maker systems for grown ups and teens in our new makerspace at Tam Higher. Much more on this later on.
