We designed fantastic progress on all fronts in this week’s ‘You Can Make It’ workshop with my coach and partner Geo Monley, in his state-of-the-art woodshop at Tam Large School in Mill Valley.
Our close friend Alice Menge and Phyllis joined us for at the start off of the session, and I laser slice for them some stunning eagle shapes for a new art venture.
I then concluded the body of the art cart I am constructing for my very own maker courses, to showcase our students’ get the job done for the Metropolis of the Long term program.
Geo’s high school class finished ‘Makers Field’, the animatronic metropolis they created underneath his assistance. The class has completed a fine occupation with this project, which is now completely ready to demonstrate off at Marinovators, a community maker faire at the Faculty of Marin at the stop of the 7 days.
I have joined forces with Geo to acquire a new plan named Tam Makers, to give a general public makerspace and maker courses for grown ups and teenagers at Tam High — and increase a community of makers, learners and instructors in South Marin.
