We are creating a general public makerspace in Tam High School’s condition-of-the-artwork woodshop, to make factors jointly and increase a community of makers, college students and academics in South Marin.
This 7 days, I realized from Geo how to make a ‘mortise and tenon’ joint for the cell cart I am building in his ‘You Can Construct It’ workshop. We will use this cart to showcase the Metropolis of the Future that our center faculty students are developing with each other in our ‘maker art’ lessons.
Other workshop individuals are building great progress as perfectly, these as the lovely wooden desk demonstrated below. Geo also showed off some of the 3D objects his substantial university college students are generating for ‘Maker Field’, their animatronic metropolis powered with Arduino.
These projects are great illustrations of what we could assist with additional maker plans for adults and teenagers in our new makerspace at Tam Superior. Additional on this later on.
