We are producing a community makerspace in Tam Large School’s point out-of-the-art woodshop, to make things with each other and increase a neighborhood of makers, pupils and instructors in South Marin.
This 7 days, I uncovered from Geo how to make a ‘mortise and tenon’ joint for the mobile cart I am developing in his ‘You Can Create It’ workshop. We will use this cart to showcase the Metropolis of the Foreseeable future that our middle university pupils are constructing alongside one another in our ‘maker art’ classes.
Other workshop participants are generating good development as properly, such as the beautiful wooden desk shown below. Geo also showed off some of the 3D objects his superior college pupils are producing for ‘Maker Field’, their animatronic metropolis driven with Arduino.
These projects are superior illustrations of what we could aid with more maker systems for grownups and teenagers in our new makerspace at Tam Superior. More on this later.
