The Chapel of Thomas Person
Situated in Fantastic Maze Pond, Southwark, SE1 1YZ the Chapel of Thomas Man was designed in 1774-77 to the layouts of Richard Jupp as an more wing. The unique creating started in 1721. There is a statue of Thomas Guy, designed in 1779 by John Bacon. The 3 stained glass home windows commemorate William Hunt, Men Hospital’s 2nd most benefactor. There are a quantity of mural memorial panels of mosiac, these ended up created by James Powell in 1904.
The interior is pretty much square and has two galleries supported by painted blue columns. The sanctuary has a marble encompass to the arch, by Louis Osman in 1956. The whole interior has a distinctive Georgian fashion, which is contrasted by the darkish Edwardian woodwork.
All in all, charming chapel to check out.
