The station buffet was the original waiting around room, and the seating portion was the moment a ready place at Barmouth Junction. The major making has been extended on the web site of the aged bathrooms to deliver a reserving business office and retail outlet area.
The canopy supports have been constructed for the Cambrian Railways station at Pwllheli, but have been taken down in 1907. Subsequent use at Aberdovey until finally 1979, they had been moved to Llanuwchllyn.

The Bala Lake Railway (Welsh: Rheilffordd Llyn Tegid) is a slim gauge railway alongside the southern shore of Bala Lake in Gwynedd, North Wales. The line, which is 4 1⁄2 miles (7.2 km) very long, is built on a segment of the former standard gauge Ruabon – Barmouth GWR route, which was developed by the Bala and Dolgelley Railway Business, and opened in August 1868. The line joined the Corwen & Bala Railway at Bala Junction and with the Cambrian Railways at Dolgellau. The line was absorbed in 1877 and then operated by the Great Western (GWR). In 1896 Llanuwchllyn station was redeveloped, with an extended constructing and a new signal box. A passing loop and 2nd platform were being also included.

Passenger services by means of Bala ceased on Monday 18 January 1965 as the line from Llangollen to Barmouth was closed. At first earmarked for dieselisation by the Western Location of British Railways in the early 1960s, the Ruabon to Bala / Barmouth line was provided in the infamous Beeching Report in 1963. From that time, the line was slowly run down, with the lengthy length holiday break trains and by means of freight targeted traffic becoming diverted to the Cambrian most important line through Welshpool and other facilities rationalised. Merchandise targeted visitors eventually ceased jogging 1 January 1968, when the Pontcysyllte branch was shut.
