“We can continue to holler and shout but we have to mild the lamps that lose the gentle on corruption, injustice, ineptitude and abuse of power. When we do, you will see the villains scurry into the woodwork the way roaches do when you change on the gentle.” – Frank Serpico (Law enforcement corruption whistleblower. Retired New York Town Police Section (NYPD) officer. Born April 14, 1936.)
Working with corruption must start with the incorrupt. The irony in our Philippine politics is that lots of change whistleblowers simply because they uncover by themselves caught dancing in the mud and need to have a clean up way out. The finish end result is generally in vain or worse, viewing the whistleblower operate for community office environment. This is my notion of a tragic comedy.
