The station buffet was the original waiting around room, and the seating portion was the moment a waiting around space at Barmouth Junction. The principal setting up has been prolonged on the site of the outdated toilets to deliver a scheduling workplace and shop home.
The canopy supports were crafted for the Cambrian Railways station at Pwllheli, but were taken down in 1907. Next use at Aberdovey until finally 1979, they ended up moved to Llanuwchllyn.
The cattle dock is now the picnic space, the stone products get rid of is a woodworking store and the ready area on platform two is an office. The unique signal box continues to be

The Bala Lake Railway (Welsh: Rheilffordd Llyn Tegid) is a narrow gauge railway along the southern shore of Bala Lake in Gwynedd, North Wales. The line, which is 4 1⁄2 miles (7.2 km) prolonged, is created on a part of the former common gauge Ruabon – Barmouth GWR route, which was developed by the Bala and Dolgelley Railway Firm, and opened in August 1868. The line joined the Corwen & Bala Railway at Bala Junction and with the Cambrian Railways at Dolgellau. The line was absorbed in 1877 and then operated by the Great Western (GWR). In 1896 Llanuwchllyn station was redeveloped, with an extended making and a new sign box. A passing loop and 2nd system were also extra.
Passenger services via Bala ceased on Monday 18 January 1965 as the line from Llangollen to Barmouth was closed. At first earmarked for dieselisation by the Western Area of British Railways in the early 1960s, the Ruabon to Bala / Barmouth line was involved in the notorious Beeching Report in 1963. From that time, the line was little by little run down, with the lengthy length holiday trains and through freight targeted traffic being diverted to the Cambrian principal line by way of Welshpool and other services rationalised. Items site visitors ultimately ceased operating 1 January 1968, when the Pontcysyllte department was shut. Even so, by rail solutions experienced successfully ceased December 1964 when the final Mail Train from Chester made use of the line.
Yet another segment of the former long lasting way is used by the Llangollen Railway. The Bala Lake Railway, which operates on 2 ft (610 mm)-gauge preserved rolling stock, is a member of the Good Very little Trains of Wales.
