We are producing a public makerspace in Tam Superior School’s state-of-the-artwork woodshop, to create amazing objects — and increase a group of makers, college students and instructors in South Marin.
Right here are some of the artworks we are making in Geo Monley’s woodworking workshop, named ‘You Can Create It’.
This 7 days, I utilised the laser cutter to make figures for our Town of the Upcoming system. In this ‘maker art’ course, decrease and center college students will create a futuristic residence with a cardboard ‘wonderbox’ and animated characters these as these. They will bring these wood and acrylic figures to lifestyle with lights, appears and motion, working with straightforward electronics.
These jobs are excellent illustrations of what we could support with more maker plans for grownups and teenagers in this new Tam High makerspace. Far more on this afterwards.
