This is a German Kunz no 7 test airplane. I are not able to figure out the age of this plane, as tiny is knob about the firm. This unique aircraft is 1 of my heirlooms, as it at the time belonged to my late grandfather. The airplane has been virtually unused because the early 1970s when my grandfather passed away. This plane is not equipped with a frog altering screw on the back again of the frog. Also the blade adjuster is alternatively smaller, particularly thinking about the dimension of the airplane. The great thing is that it leaves a lot more area for your hand, but turning the wheel with just two fingers can be a bit of an problem.
The aircraft is in fairly respectable form, with only slight reduction of the japanning. Every single portion on this aircraft seems to be original. The handles look to be apple. They are lacquered but I cannot tell if this was unique or anything my grandfather additional.
The consumer encounter is quite fantastic. The Kunz iron is a good 1 and slightly thicker than the Stanley irons. I haven’t fettled a total lot with it as I pretty rarely have a want for a no 7 and I also want to make certain I will not likely injury it.
