Kent’s Tunbridge Wells Commemorates King Charles the Martyr

King Charles the Martyr, Tunbridge Wells, Kent

On the day of the equinox, the writer was on vacation while his wife Jools was at work. Her employers paid for everyone to go to Folkestone for lunch, drinks, and celebrations. The writer dropped Jools off at work so she could get some walking in, and then did some sightseeing throughout Kent. He revisited Penshurst Place’s church, where he had a chance to see the memorials and tombs. He left a fiver for the church and then went to Speldhurst, Groombridge, and Tunbridge Wells to revisit their respective churches. After observing a service underway, he photographed the ceiling and details within the church in Tunbridge Wells. He stopped at Stop 24 services for a coffee and something to eat before returning to Folkestone to pick up Jools from her meal.
