Judging Interviews for the 2014 4-H Science, Engineering & Technology Program

4-H Science, Engineering & Technology Interview Judging 2014 - 04

The Lancaster County Super Fair offers a variety of opportunities for 4-H and FFA members to showcase their Science, Engineering, and Technology (SET) projects. These exhibits cover a wide range of topics, including aerospace, computer science, geospatial technology, electricity, robotics, the power of wind, small engines, model vehicles, woodworking, welding, safety, and bicycles.

One of the key elements of the fair is the interview judging process. This provides an excellent opportunity for 4-H and FFA members to talk to judges about their static exhibits, sharing the challenges they faced and the lessons they learned during the process of developing their projects.

Interview judging is a format that requires students to think on their feet and articulate their ideas clearly and concisely. This is an important skill that can be developed through participation in SET projects, as well as through the feedback and guidance provided by judges during the interview process.

In addition to enabling students to share their knowledge and experience, interview judging also provides a valuable opportunity for them to learn from the judges themselves. This includes gaining an understanding of what the judge looks for in a project, as well as receiving tips and advice on how to improve their current skills and knowledge.

Ultimately, the Lancaster County Super Fair is a unique and valuable experience that helps to foster the development of young people who are interested in the fields of science, engineering, and technology. Through participation in SET projects and interview judging, students are able to gain valuable skills, experiences, and knowledge that will serve them well throughout their lives.
