Speyer was a university student of Mies and the International Design. In 1949, the Sammet relatives commissioned 36 12 months aged Speyer, who was instructing at IIT, to style and design this home. The a person-story home has a metal frame with brick infill. The a single-motor vehicle garage is at the entrance with a concealed entrance to the south. The home windows are to the again and the sides. The interior has cork flooring, teak woodwork and an open ground approach. The initial entrepreneurs continue to dwell in the residence immediately after 58 years and have not moved or modified the original layout.
