The Crossroads venture is an initiative to make an ecologically sustainable group, with great facilities for medieval pursuits.
Our intention is to make a medieval village on our home at Yass, New South Wales, Australia. We would like to foster conventional crafts and capabilities, establish partnerships with a wide variety of nationwide organisations for pre-industrial crafts, for occasion in woodwork, pottery, blacksmithing and embroidery.
The bodily web site of Crossroads is 453 acres of land, and the approach is to develop the web site to have Visitor cabins to accommodate 60 persons, a kitchen/eating corridor, and related facilities, a duplicate of the tiny French medieval castle, Chalencon, and its linked village, a household subdivision with a medieval topic and a centre for Heritage Crafts.
The web page is presently currently being used on a regular basis by medievalists for fairs, festivals and actions such as archery as well as weddings and events, and is obtainable for retain the services of by the community.
