The Crossroads venture is an initiative to establish an ecologically sustainable group, with fantastic facilities for medieval pursuits.
Our objective is to develop a medieval village on our property at Yass, New South Wales, Australia. We desire to foster common crafts and skills, build partnerships with a selection of national organisations for pre-industrial crafts, for occasion in woodwork, pottery, blacksmithing and embroidery.
The physical web site of Crossroads is 453 acres of land, and the plan is to create the web-site to have Visitor cabins to accommodate 60 men and women, a kitchen/eating hall, and linked facilities, a duplicate of the compact French medieval castle, Chalencon, and its associated village, a household subdivision with a medieval theme and a centre for Heritage Crafts.
The site is already being made use of consistently by medievalists for fairs, festivals and pursuits these as archery as effectively as weddings and events, and is accessible for retain the services of by the general public.
