Images of The Crossroads project as it develops.

The Crossroads challenge is an initiative to make an ecologically sustainable local community, with outstanding amenities for medieval functions.

Our intention is to make a medieval village on our property at Yass, New South Wales, Australia. We want to foster regular crafts and expertise, build partnerships with a wide range of nationwide organisations for pre-industrial crafts, for instance in woodwork, pottery, blacksmithing and embroidery.

The physical web-site of Crossroads is 453 acres of land, and the system is to produce the website to have Customer cabins to accommodate 60 persons, a kitchen area/dining corridor, and linked amenities, a reproduction of the small French medieval castle, Chalencon, and its associated village, a residential subdivision with a medieval theme and a centre for Heritage Crafts.

The web page is already currently being utilized regularly by medievalists for fairs, festivals and actions these as archery as well as weddings and functions, and is offered for use by the public.
