The Crossroads undertaking is an initiative to make an ecologically sustainable local community, with outstanding services for medieval pursuits.
Our intention is to develop a medieval village on our house at Yass, New South Wales, Australia. We want to foster classic crafts and techniques, create partnerships with a wide variety of countrywide organisations for pre-industrial crafts, for instance in woodwork, pottery, blacksmithing and embroidery.
The actual physical web site of Crossroads is 453 acres of land, and the plan is to develop the website to have Customer cabins to accommodate 60 people today, a kitchen area/eating hall, and related amenities, a reproduction of the tiny French medieval castle, Chalencon, and its connected village, a household subdivision with a medieval topic and a centre for Heritage Crafts.
The internet site is by now remaining used often by medievalists for fairs, festivals and routines these as archery as properly as weddings and events, and is offered for seek the services of by the general public.
