The Crossroads project is a an initiative to develop an ecologically sustainable community, with fantastic services for medieval pursuits.
Our aim is to establish a medieval village on our home at Yass, New South Wales, Australia. We would like to foster conventional crafts and competencies, create partnerships with a wide range of countrywide organisations for pre-industrial crafts, for occasion in woodwork, pottery, blacksmithing and embroidery.
The actual physical web page of Crossroads is 453 acres of land, and the approach is to acquire the website to have Visitor cabins to accommodate 60 people today, a kitchen/eating hall, and connected features, a replica of the smaller French medieval castle, Chalencon, and its affiliated village, a household subdivision with a medieval topic and a centre for Heritage Crafts.
The web-site is presently remaining used consistently by medievalists for fairs, festivals and activities such as archery as perfectly as weddings and functions, and is out there for use by the public.
