The Mend and Restoration is taught through the fourth, or summertime, quarter at the Northwest School of Picket Boatbuilding.
Students study to assess a boat’s ailment, perform an informal survey, and build a repair or restoration strategy for vessels. They study to safely take out each portion of a picket vessel, repair it or build a new, replacement part, and reinstall it in the vessel.
The Northwest Faculty of Picket Boatbuilding is situated in Port Hadlock WA and is a non-public, accredited non-gain vocational school.
