The Crossroads venture is an initiative to build an ecologically sustainable local community, with superb services for medieval actions.
Our target is to construct a medieval village on our assets at Yass, New South Wales, Australia. We wish to foster common crafts and capabilities, set up partnerships with a range of countrywide organisations for pre-industrial crafts, for instance in woodwork, pottery, blacksmithing and embroidery.
The physical web page of Crossroads is 453 acres of land, and the plan is to create the site to have Visitor cabins to accommodate 60 folks, a kitchen area/eating hall, and affiliated features, a replica of the small French medieval castle, Chalencon, and its connected village, a residential subdivision with a medieval theme and a centre for Heritage Crafts.
The web site is now currently being applied on a regular basis by medievalists for fairs, festivals and activities these types of as archery as well as weddings and events, and is readily available for seek the services of by the general public.
