The Crossroads job is an initiative to develop an ecologically sustainable group, with fantastic facilities for medieval pursuits.
Our goal is to make a medieval village on our home at Yass, New South Wales, Australia. We want to foster traditional crafts and skills, set up partnerships with a selection of nationwide organisations for pre-industrial crafts, for instance in woodwork, pottery, blacksmithing and embroidery.
The physical internet site of Crossroads is 453 acres of land, and the program is to create the web site to have Visitor cabins to accommodate 60 men and women, a kitchen/eating corridor, and associated features, a replica of the smaller French medieval castle, Chalencon, and its affiliated village, a household subdivision with a medieval theme and a centre for Heritage Crafts.
The website is now being made use of consistently by medievalists for fairs, festivals and things to do these types of as archery as nicely as weddings and get-togethers, and is offered for employ the service of by the public.
