The Crossroads task is an initiative to build an ecologically sustainable local community, with excellent services for medieval actions.
Our purpose is to build a medieval village on our house at Yass, New South Wales, Australia. We desire to foster classic crafts and capabilities, establish partnerships with a selection of nationwide organisations for pre-industrial crafts, for instance in woodwork, pottery, blacksmithing and embroidery.
The physical web-site of Crossroads is 453 acres of land, and the plan is to build the site to have Customer cabins to accommodate 60 persons, a kitchen/dining hall, and connected facilities, a duplicate of the small French medieval castle, Chalencon, and its involved village, a residential subdivision with a medieval theme and a centre for Heritage Crafts.
The web-site is currently currently being utilized often by medievalists for fairs, festivals and actions these as archery as well as weddings and functions, and is offered for hire by the general public.
