Skipping a handful of ways right here, I jointed and planed (on the jointer) 5 1x4s of maple, all slice from the exact same 8′ plank to 17″ every. Even with jointing and ripping to make the sides fantastic and parallel, they continue to added up to just a hair above 17″ all biscuit joined up. This is the base, whereupon I drew a 16″ circle with a big compass. I drew the circle when the boards were continue to loose so I could lay out in which to place the biscuits without later ending up slicing by way of the biscuits when slicing out the circle.
