In the months given that I flatttened both of those sides of the benchtop, the aspect where the pith surfaces (comes of paying for slabs sight unseen) humped once more, creating it difficult to have faith in the layout of the mortises to obtain the leg tenons. Made a decision it was time to flatten it again. First tried using to do it with hand planes, and of course that would have worked, but the hump was a bit larger sized than I considered, so decided to haul out the equipment upcoming.
