St Winwaloe’s Church is located in Gunwalloe, Cornwall, UK. The church dates back mostly to the 15th century but has some parts from the 13th century. It features an unusual Three Hall design as well as a detached Bell Tower and a statue outside the Church entrance. The church is part of The Churches Project, which began in April 2015 with the aim of taking more black and white photographs of Cornwall’s granite landscapes, and focuses on the photographic interest provided by Cornwall’s churches and churchyards.
The Cornish Historic Churches Trust is an organization that works to preserve the beautiful churches of Cornwall for future generations, and those who wish to support their work can visit their website. All photography and equipment used in The Churches Project are sponsored by www.inlinefilters.co.uk, the UK’s leading Filter Specialists that serves the heavy-duty automotive industry.
The portfolio website and blog for the photographer behind The Churches Project is called Piktour, which means “picture” in Cornish. The photographer takes photographs purely as a hobby and is happy to share them with anyone who enjoys them or has a use for them. If used, an accreditation would be appreciated.
