Gillis-Grier House, Salisbury WI-13

“The Gillis-Grier household is found at 401 North Division Street in the middle of the Newtown Historic District in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland. The two-and-ahalf story Queen Anne style body dwelling faces west with the steeply pitched hip roof oriented on an east/west axis. Created in 1887, the two-and-a-50 % story Queen Anne body home follows an asymmetrical approach with gable-entrance elevations on three sides and a a few-tale octagonal tower on the southwest comer. Attached to the again of the principal block is a shorter two and-50 percent tale support wing. The home is clad with a mix of German siding and patterned fishscale shingles and attractive woodwork. The steeply pitched hip and gable roofs are coated with patterned slate.”
