The Local community Boat Venture learners, led by Captains Wayne Chimenti and MB Armstrong and veteran trainer Marci Van Celeve, released the fourth boat created in the application, the 32-foot sailing vessel EPIC.

The Community Boat Project is a unique partnership involving the Northwest University of Wooden Boatbuilding (the direct firm), Port Townsend College District (#50), Chimacum Faculty District (#49), 4-H/Washington Point out College (WSU), and the Puget Seem Voyaging Culture.

It is an “all ages, all volunteers” community-oriented non-income group specializing in free, accredited systems for higher university learners.

Intergenerational maritime instruction is the mission of the Community Boat Store.
The Store strives to give youth a “perception of area” by connecting them to the natural environment, the economy, and the people of the Olympic Peninsula.
