The Neighborhood Boat Task college students, led by Captains Wayne Chimenti and MB Armstrong and veteran teacher Marci Van Celeve, released the fourth boat built in the system, the 32-foot sailing vessel EPIC.

The Neighborhood Boat Undertaking is a distinctive partnership involving the Northwest School of Picket Boatbuilding (the guide organization), Port Townsend University District (#50), Chimacum Faculty District (#49), 4-H/Washington State College (WSU), and the Puget Audio Voyaging Culture.

It is an “all ages, all volunteers” neighborhood-oriented non-financial gain organization specializing in no cost, accredited courses for high school students.

Intergenerational maritime training is the mission of the Community Boat Store.
The Store strives to give youth a “perception of put” by connecting them to the natural environment, the economy, and the folks of the Olympic Peninsula.
