The Group Boat Project college students, led by Captains Wayne Chimenti and MB Armstrong and veteran instructor Marci Van Cleve, launched the fourth boat created in the plan, the 32-foot sailing vessel EPIC.

The Community Boat Task is a one of a kind partnership between the Northwest Faculty of Wood Boatbuilding (the lead corporation), Port Townsend College District (#50), Chimacum College District (#49), 4-H/Washington State College (WSU), and the Puget Seem Voyaging Culture.

It is an “all ages, all volunteers” local community-oriented non-income business specializing in free, accredited applications for large college college students.

Intergenerational maritime training is the mission of the Group Boat Shop.
