38′ transformed wood tug boat

Ella McKenzie. a Glen-Course tug, is the last wood tug developed by McKenzie and Derrick Enterprise LTD., at the Dollarton Shipyard in North Vancouver, British Columbia in 1951.

She was commissioned by and named for the grandmother of the president of McKenzie Barge & Marine Methods LTD., R.R. McKenzie.

Ella McMenzie labored as a harbour tug and dredge tender alongside the BC coast and in Vancouver, till 1971.

Her responsibilities also provided cleansing up oil spills in Coal Harbour.

She was utilised in gentle business operations by subsequent homeowners until eventually she was restored for pleasure use.

Ella McKenzie experienced a total refit in 2006, which includes all new timbers and woodwork.
