We are producing an Artwork Float for Social Transform at Tam Makers, to encourage much more people today to participate in democracy. Our parade float will arrive at out to youth and men and women of coloration as a result of artwork, tunes and technological know-how. We will present this art display on Earth Working day, Memorial Working day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and all through California this drop, to really encourage persons to vote in the next election.
Our one of a kind art float celebrates mother earth with a carousel of waving palms, pulled by a large feathered serpent. Performers will convey to stories of hope on a stage adorned with scenes of a improved globe. Significant signs will invite people to converse up and vote! You can pitch concepts for social transform on the podium, or have them scroll on the information ticker.
This group art task is designed by a crew of college students and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Large College for hosting this task and to all our amazing volunteers and artwork, civic and instructional partners, for supporting develop this float and present it to a numerous neighborhood.
