We are creating an Art Float for Social Improve at Tam Makers, to encourage extra folks to participate in democracy. Our parade float will access out to youth and folks of color by way of artwork, music and know-how. We will present this art show on Earth Day, Memorial Working day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and during California this tumble, to encourage men and women to vote in the up coming election.
Our special art float celebrates mom earth with a carousel of waving fingers, pulled by a huge feathered serpent. Performers will convey to tales of hope on a stage embellished with scenes of a much better environment. Big symptoms will invite men and women to talk up and vote! You can pitch strategies for social improve on the podium, or have them scroll on the information ticker.
This community art task is developed by a team of learners and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Substantial University for web hosting this project and to all our wonderful volunteers and art, civic and instructional companions, for encouraging make this float and present it to a various group.
