We are developing an Art Float for Social Improve at Tam Makers, to encourage additional persons to take part in democracy. Our parade float will attain out to youth and people of colour by way of artwork, tunes and technology. We will current this artwork display on Earth Day, Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and in the course of California this fall, to inspire people today to vote in the future election.
Our distinctive artwork float celebrates mother earth with a carousel of waving hands, pulled by a big feathered serpent. Performers will inform tales of hope on a phase decorated with scenes of a better entire world. Substantial indicators will invite people to communicate up and vote! You can pitch thoughts for social transform on the podium, or have them scroll on the information ticker.
This group art challenge is designed by a crew of learners and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Substantial College for hosting this task and to all our amazing volunteers and art, civic and educational partners, for serving to generate this float and current it to a assorted neighborhood.
