We are developing an Art Float for Social Modify at Tam Makers, to encourage much more persons to take part in democracy. Our parade float will get to out to youth and people today of coloration as a result of art, songs and engineering. We will current this art display on Earth Day, Memorial Working day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and during California this tumble, to really encourage men and women to vote in the following election.
Our exceptional artwork float celebrates mother earth with a carousel of waving hands, pulled by a huge feathered serpent. Performers will inform stories of hope on a stage adorned with scenes of a much better planet. Significant signs will invite persons to discuss up and vote! You can pitch concepts for social improve on the podium, or have them scroll on the information ticker.
This group artwork project is designed by a group of students and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Higher University for internet hosting this project and to all our excellent volunteers and art, civic and instructional partners, for supporting build this float and existing it to a numerous neighborhood.
We are developing this challenge in March and April 2018, on Thursday evenings from 4 to 9pm — or Saturday mornings from 10am to 1pm. If you would like to volunteer, you should e-mail us at float@tammakers.org.
