We are producing an Artwork Float for Social Transform at Tam Makers, to encourage far more folks to participate in democracy. Our parade float will reach out to youth and people today of color by means of artwork, new music and technology. We will present this artwork clearly show on Earth Working day, Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and all through California this slide, to inspire persons to vote in the following election.
Our one of a kind art float celebrates mother earth with a carousel of waving palms, pulled by a big feathered serpent. Performers will tell tales of hope on a stage embellished with scenes of a better globe. Large indicators will invite individuals to converse up and vote! You can pitch tips for social modify on the podium, or have them scroll on the news ticker.
This neighborhood art venture is produced by a workforce of students and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Large College for web hosting this task and to all our amazing volunteers and artwork, civic and educational partners, for supporting develop this float and existing it to a varied community.
