We are generating an Artwork Float for Social Modify at Tam Makers, to encourage additional men and women to take part in democracy. Our parade float will achieve out to youth and folks of shade through art, songs and technology. We will current this art display on Earth Working day, Memorial Working day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and all through California this slide, to persuade people today to vote in the future election.
Our exceptional art float celebrates mom earth with a carousel of waving palms, pulled by a huge feathered serpent. Performers will explain to tales of hope on a phase embellished with scenes of a greater world. Massive symptoms will invite folks to talk up and vote! You can pitch thoughts for social change on the podium, or have them scroll on the news ticker.
This community artwork task is established by a workforce of learners and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Higher Faculty for web hosting this undertaking and to all our excellent volunteers and art, civic and instructional partners, for helping develop this float and existing it to a diverse group.
