We are producing an Art Float for Social Alter at Tam Makers, to encourage much more individuals to participate in democracy. Our parade float will attain out to youth and folks of colour by means of artwork, songs and technological know-how. We will existing this artwork show on Earth Working day, Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and throughout California this fall, to inspire men and women to vote in the subsequent election.
Our exclusive artwork float celebrates mom earth with a carousel of waving arms, pulled by a giant feathered serpent. Performers will inform tales of hope on a phase decorated with scenes of a far better globe. Big indications will invite persons to communicate up and vote! You can pitch ideas for social adjust on the podium, or have them scroll on the information ticker.
This neighborhood artwork task is established by a crew of pupils and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Large University for hosting this undertaking and to all our excellent volunteers and art, civic and instructional partners, for aiding produce this float and existing it to a various group.
