This sequence of photos demonstrates the sequence of functions included in the earning of common body and box joints. Lined here are the conclusion lap joint, the cross halving joint, the mitre bridle joint, the finger or comb joint, the mortice and tenon joint and the dovetail joint.

All S3 Craft & Design pupils perform on a box job so that they can produce some basic woodworking techniques. This year S4 have all been encouraged to operate on frame and carcase development strategies. This is generally due to the substantial numbers remaining presented this session but also thanks to the point that we have receive a ton of large quality hardwoods at a cut price rate. For these explanations a a lot more prescriptive method has been taken than the last number of yrs. This need to enable make the large amount of projects a little bit less difficult to control whilst also exhibiting the components and pupils’ talent to best result.

I will attempt and annotate these greater around the next 7 days or so.
