Common <a href=woodworking frame and box joints”>

This sequence of photos demonstrates the sequence of functions associated in the building of prevalent body and box joints. Included listed here are the close lap joint, the cross halving joint, the mitre bridle joint, the finger or comb joint, the mortice and tenon joint and the dovetail joint.

All S3 Craft & Style and design pupils do the job on a box project so that they can establish some standard woodworking abilities. This 12 months S4 have all been encouraged to function on frame and carcase building strategies. This is primarily thanks to the large numbers remaining offered this session but also owing to the reality that we have receive a great deal of significant high-quality hardwoods at a discount cost. For these motives a far more prescriptive tactic has been taken than the past few decades. This need to aid make the significant variety of initiatives a bit a lot easier to deal with whilst also displaying the materials and pupils’ skill to best influence.

I am going to try and annotate these much better about the subsequent week or so.
