A little bit of a last moment excursion soon after sudden superior weather conditions. I’d cycled via the valley not long ago and found some dereliction, so I was eager to come back again with a digicam.
Given that the cycle I would been studying maps and striving to investigation the places I would noticed with a very little achievement.
A unusual row of houses and what looked like a manor in Clyne. A derelict victorian school in Clyne. And both a armed service or industrial site in Rheola.
I also needed to check out Cwmllynfell in which an open solid quarry was encroaching on the village and experienced previously swallowed up a home or two and a lane. I fancied viewing Cefn Coed Colliery Museum also.
Enjoyed both sites at Clyne, failed to get to see a lot as Rheola, Cwmllynfell was not as attention-grabbing as I hoped as the google maps I might been learning were being out of day, and the museum was shut for winter season! Not a lousy working day out though.
Pen y Bank
An odd semi detached home, situated in a subject with no obvious road or track heading to it. Difficult to say how extensive it experienced been empty, as some of the woodwork and so on was in ok ailment.
