Our middle-faculty pupils at Tam Large are building a City of the Long run jointly, working with arts and electronics to make a product of what our planet may possibly be like in 100 years.
In our sixth course, learners worked in teams to make general public areas for their town: underwater mines, segregated neighborhoods, surface area rubbles and gated skyscrapers for the prosperous. This week’s creations provided a new metropolis signal, additional ladders, additional mine employees, and tall, skinny towers scraping the crimson sky.
They also agreed on a final name for their town: 15A, named following its sector coordinates. In their post-apocalyptic town of the long term, the abundant are divided from the lousy, who mine the sea ground and are oppressed by a government run by devices.
I am training this following-university class with Geo Monley and Cynthia Gilbert, and we are satisfied to see our learners so engaged in this project.
