Our immediately after-college learners at Tam Substantial are creating a Metropolis of the Future with each other, applying arts and electronics to make a product of what our environment may perhaps be like in 100 a long time.
In our 2nd class, they built the town they visualize for this job and took turns talking about their strategies with every other. In their post-apocalyptic scenario, the prosperous are divided from the bad, who mine the sea ground and are oppressed by a federal government run by equipment.
They also picked people and objects for their metropolis — some of which will be laser slice and printed in 3D. Next, they acquired to solder stick figures out of copper wire, then made mild circuits with LEDs and batteries. At last, they included these lights to their futuristic households, which they ongoing to adorn with present wrapping paper, artwork supplies and day-to-day objects.
We have a terrific group of 8 middle school college students, ages 12 to 14, in this just after-school course.
